Of course, we need cash-flow to operate & succeed. Did you know that 70% of private sector funds that support community-based non-profits come from individual donors? Private foundations, via grants, fund 16% & bequests fund 9%, with 5% coming from corporations.*
Many national foundations direct their funds to national non-profits, major universities, hospitals, & museums. Public sector funding - specifically federal and state grants - supports projects with a narrow focus.
All 'Compassion Heals' staff & board positions are filled by unpaid volunteers. All communication & meetings will be conducted in person, via 'zoom' & through email. In-person meeting space? We will utilize public meeting rooms available at public libraries, Community Colleges, & University locations in lieu of expensive office maintenance & management. All meeting details will be emailed to interested parties. (Donated funds will never go towards any structure, building or office space.)
Additionally, 'Compassion Heals' will annually channel all remaining donated funds for 'free' distribution of therapeutic finger puppets to serve less-privileged communities.
