What's the secret to growing incredible vegetables &
gorgeous flowers...despite drought levels?
There are actually 2 secrets: Moisture Control & Oxygenation.
Fabric Grow Pots

Fabric pots are permeable, allowing water & air to easily pass thoroughly the container. Water enters the top, permeates through the soil, and transpires out the sides. Excess water flows through the fabric bottom, preventing root rot & overwatering. Hooray!
Oxygenation is critical to plant health as roots need abundant oxygen to thrive. Fabric grow pots allow oxygen to flow through all sides. As the roots approach the pot's boundary, they sense optimum moisture/oxygen levels and begin to form dense, finely branched root-structures.
Fabric grow pots circulate hot air to keep your plants cool, yet moist. Their design prevents root rot by natural 'air-pruning' - encouraging the plant to shoot out new feeder roots. Every increase in root mass increases yield.
Fine root structures are perfect for absorbing oxygen, moisture & nutrients, resulting in powerful root systems and dramatically healthier plants. Flowers grow more abundantly. Vegetable yields are off the charts. Plants grow bigger, denser and stronger. Sweeeet!
With a few trickle-drip emitters, your plants will positively thrive. We plant our SunGold tomatoes in 20-gallon fabric grow pots with 3 emitters each, all on automatic timers. We highly recommend using fresh potting soil for each new season's tomatoes. Last year's potting soil feeds our flower beds for glorious blooms.
By mid-July, we add 4-5 bamboo stakes for support around the outside of each plant...and take cover! We are literally buried in delicious tomatoes through October, with plenty going into the freezer. Easy system: Spread your SunGolds on a cookie sheet to freeze. Once frozen, pour them into a zip-lock bag. Repeat and smile.
Transplanting Instructions
This year, we switched to biodegradable grow pots, ready to transplant into your garden or small grow pot (basil). To remove the bio-bag, we recommend a moderaely moist soil (not soggy wet). Simply begin at the top seam & carefully seperate toward the bottom. Watch closely to avoid damaging the little white 'hair' roots. Lift the plant from the bottom by tilting the dirt & plant into an open left hand & securing gently with your right hand.
Allow me to sing the accolades of our friends at Paradise Warehouse.
The owner & staff represent horticultural genius in motion. They freely shared all their secrets for growing consistent, abundant harvests of our Sungold tomatoes despite our mucky-thick gumbo clay! For our joint project - 'Green Gift Stampede' - Paradise generously contributed their time, energy, experience, enthusiasm, & expense of the fabric grow pots. Thank-you for this opportunity to get down & dirty.
Paradise Warehouse - Opens at 10 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday.
Feel free to call the horticultural experts at (541)-552-1037 or visit 1409 North Hwy 99, Ashland, OR.
Paradise Warehouse is on the left side of Hwy 99 just after you cross under the railroad bridge & just before the Animal Medical Hospital.
But wait...where do 100 baby Sungold tomatoes plants go with all pot and no yummy dirt?
